Sontronics Mercury Variable-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone – Gold
Bring flexible tube-microphone character to high-end studio sessions with the Sontronics Mercury Variable-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone. Hand-built in the United Kingdom, Mercury uses a European-made 12AT7/ECC81 valve and a continuously variable polar-pattern control that sweeps from omnidirectional through cardioid to figure-8.
The included external power supply provides the pattern control, a −10 dB pad, and a 75 Hz filter. This lets engineers adapt the microphone to solo vocals, acoustic instruments, ensembles, room capture, and stereo recording techniques without changing microphones.
